AI Fluency Training Initiative

Essential AI Fluency.
BET Edition.

A custom AI fluency training program for BET employees across functions.

Prepared by KENEKTS Global LLC for BET Leadership.

18 core lessons 5 function tracks Organization-wide

Program Overview

A structured training program.
Built for how BET actually works.

Essential AI Fluency: BET Edition is a custom training initiative that builds AI capability across BET's workforce. Employees are walked through the leading AI platforms, creative studios, and workflow tools, and learn how each one fits into the work they already do.

The program is training only. It does not produce research, insights, or analysis. It produces employees who are fluent in AI tools and vocabulary, ready to bring that fluency into their existing roles and processes.

Why Now

The fluency gap every media
organization is facing.

AI tools, vocabulary, and workflows are moving faster than any team can absorb on their own.

Sales teams walk into meetings with advertisers already using AI to plan buys.

Marketing teams get pitched new AI creative tools every week.

Content teams watch production timelines compress around generative tools.

Executives field AI strategy questions they did not have time to prepare for.

Every media organization is facing the same challenge. The ones that close the gap first walk into every room fluent. The ones that wait improvise.

Essential AI Fluency: BET Edition closes the gap with a structured, proven curriculum customized for BET's functions, roles, and daily workflows.

Program One

The AI Landscape for BET

18 lessons • Three acts • Universal core plus function-specific tracks.

A structured orientation to the AI landscape for media professionals. How the technology actually works. Who is building it. Where investment is flowing. Compliance and privacy fundamentals. The vocabulary every BET employee should be able to use confidently in rooms with advertisers, partners, and peers.

Act One is universal. Act Two splits into function-specific tracks so each team sees AI through the lens of the work they already do. Act Three delivers the shared vocabulary.

18. Program Complete
What shifted. Where employees go from here.

Three industry shifts this program
prepares employees for.

Public, documented, industry-wide. Relevant across every function at BET.

The Foresight Shift

At the ANA Media Conference in March 2026, Marc Pritchard told the room P&G is paying partners for foresight, not execution. The same expectation is reaching every function in media.

  • Sales, marketing, content, research, and operations all being asked to see further ahead
  • Foresight is now the expectation, not the differentiator
  • Employees need the vocabulary and tools to deliver it from inside their own roles

Agentic Workflows

IAB Tech Lab released its agentic buying framework in March 2026. AI agents are being built into the workflows employees rely on every day.

  • Media buying, campaign planning, creative production, and research synthesis all being reshaped
  • The tools and processes BET employees already use are changing from the inside
  • Every function needs a working understanding of what that means for their daily work

A New Shared Vocabulary

Cross-media measurement standards are being revised. AI governance frameworks are being written. New terms are entering industry conversations every month.

  • Every meeting now contains language that did not exist a year ago
  • Sales, marketing, content, research, operations, all facing the same vocabulary gap
  • Fluency is no longer optional for anyone carrying BET's name into a room

Frequently asked questions.

Does this overlap with existing BET research, insights, or strategy functions?
No. This program is training only. It teaches BET employees how to use AI tools and vocabulary inside their existing roles, processes, and oversight. It does not produce research, insights, audience analysis, or intelligence products. Those functions remain entirely with the existing BET and Paramount teams who own them. The program is designed to strengthen the fluency of employees who already work within those structures, not to parallel or replace any existing function.
Does this require installing new tools on BET computers?
No. The program is designed to work within whatever tool approvals and IT policies are already in place at BET and Paramount. Employees are walked through each platform in a guided environment. They learn what each tool does, how it works, and when to use it, so they are fully prepared to use any tool the moment it is approved for their machine. No installation is required to complete the program.
Does this fit within existing Paramount training and L&D processes?
Yes. The program is designed to slot into existing training and development categories, work alongside any existing AI tool approvals and IT policies, and respect whatever procurement and vendor review processes apply. The customization phase includes alignment with those processes from the start.
What's the difference between the AI Landscape program and the Essential AI Table?
The AI Landscape for BET is the orientation and vocabulary program: how AI works, who is building it, compliance fundamentals, and the function-specific tracks that connect the landscape to daily work. The Essential AI Table is the hands-on platform and tools methodology where employees set up and practice with six AI platforms, six creative studios, and four build labs. The Landscape orients. The Table builds capability.
How quickly could the program begin?
Phase One, the customization and scope alignment, can begin within two weeks of agreement. Phase Two, the employee rollout, follows on a timeline that fits BET's calendar and existing processes.
Who is KENEKTS Global's client base?
The firm works with Fortune 500 consumer packaged goods executives, enterprise marketing leaders, independent agency principals, and industry-specific verticals. Engagements range from individual executive training to organization-wide rollouts. Client names are protected in public materials and available under NDA during the proposal conversation.
Is the curriculum platform-independent?
Yes. The Essential AI Table methodology teaches cognitive functions and workflows rather than brand dependencies. Employees learn to recognize which type of tool fits which type of task, so the skills remain durable as platforms evolve, are replaced, or are reshaped by the market.
